GC Challenge Day 4: I thought Id reflect on my eldest daughter Katie Rain Epperson. Im extremely grateful to the confluence of miracles that brought her into my life. She is, and always will be, my special girl. 4.1 Im grateful for her strong inner spirit, which manifests itself in so many ways. From the way she seeks out and embraces diversity, to her clear perception of right and wrong, to her strong will, to her sense of humor. She is a very spirited individual and my life is enhanced by her presence. 4.2 Im grateful that she is Taylors big sister. Its not always easy to share the limelight, but Katie is an important person in Taylors life and I am grateful that they have each other. 4.3 Im grateful that Katie has embraced the idea of planning for college. Just over a year ago, she was overwhelmed at the thought of college planning. But she has made great strides in reviewing her options, creating a list of good schools and is working on the application process step by step. I am proud of her and grateful that she is making progress. We will be so proud and so sad the day she leaves the nest. Here are some of my favorite photos of Katie over the years:
