OLD BUSINESS: NOTE: SINCE WE DID NOT HAVE A MEETING IN JULY, STARTED MEETING WITH BRIEFLY RE-READING MINUTES OF OUR PICNIC MEETING AND DISCUSSED THE REASON WE TOOK A MONTH OFF OUR CLUB FUNCTIONS 1. Casino Trip – Saturday, April 14th – Chairperson – Charry Tutana After much discussion, the EOC decided to go with two Casinos as in previous trip. Feather Falls and Cache Creek (if possible) was decided by Board Members present. The following issues were presented, discussed and approved for the Casino Trip: - Price of Casino Trip will be $30.00 each. We estimate as in our previous trip to gain back $25.00 play/food coupon from the casinos. - Will rent a 60 passenger bus to accommodate more people and have enough room for storing food stuff in the rear. - As in previous trip we will again have Bingo Games on the way to our first destination while refreshments are being served. Last trip garnered $80.00 to our funds. - Upon special request, front seats are being reserved for members who are medically challenged and the Board approved. -- Donations are being provided by the following: (IF INTERESTED, ADDITIONAL DONATIONS ARE WELCOME, LET US KNOW, I.E., DONUTS/PASTRIES) - Botttled Water and Coffee/Team/condiments – Mel/Erlinda Sundita - Sandwiches – Charry Tutana, Cora Sundita and Josie Caragan - Two Boxes of Assorted Chips – Lettie Dumlao - Fruiits – Nita Mendoza -- Pick-up times and locations are as follows: - 6:00 a.m. – Corner of Callan Blvd. and Hickey Blvd., Daly City - 7:00 a.m. – Food Maxx Plaza, Tennyson Street and Hesperian Blvd., Hayward (behind Chevron Station) - 8:00 a.m. – Vallejo, Admiral Callahan (if enough passengers of 3 more.) 2. Christmas Party on Saturday, December 7th: - Chairpersons for Christmas Party: Loy/Marian Bautista - - Hilton Garden Inn, 1800 Powell Street, Emmeryville CA 94608 - 510-658-9300 - - Ticket Price: $60.00 - - Confirmed our DJ from last year’s Christmas Party, DJ Al Palaganas. - - Confirmed Father Pomparado (spelling?) for our Fiesta Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. - - Will give more info on our discounted block of rooms at the hotel at a later date. - - Hope to have tickets printed out by our Casino Trip or at least the next meeting for immediate distribution. - FYI on Deposit Schedule to Hilton: Deposti 1 – 5/27/13 - $500.00 Paid Deposit 2 – 11/14/13 - $7,000.00 Deposit 3 – 12/3/13 – FINAL TBD - PLEASE START PROMOTING OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY NOW! NEW BUSINESS: 3. Cora Sundita will be reserving our Picnic Site at Boothbay Park in Foster City for Sunday, August 17, 2014. It is not too late to recommend another location. Otherwise, please no whining about this location. Don’t just go with the flow, make your own path! 4.
