GEELANI CONDEMNS POLICE ACTION AT ZANALGAM Srinagar, Oct 8 (KNS): Terming the police action taken against youth ‘unjustified and unfair’ in Zanalgam Kokernag, Huriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelnai said that instead of taking action against ‘culprits’ police subjects youth of the area to suppressive measures “It has been proved that state police personnel are no less than Ikhwan renegades. They are ruthless and even did not allow us to mourn and wail over the dead bodies of our beloved ones. It is worst kind of barbarism,” Siad Geellani while adding that the voice of people here is being muzzled with the dint of power Demanding immediate release of pro-freedom leader Mohammad Yousuf Falahi and other youth arrested at Zanalgam, Syed Ali Geelani said that ‘oppressive measures’ would prove counterproductive for Umer Abdullah led administration and for all this mess they have to share the overall responsibility and face consequences.
