GEJ should have held up his PVC (or whatever they use to vote at the UN) for all to see and slammed it down on the table loudly, on the side of Freedom, Justice and the Right to Prosper. With that, Nigeria would have earned the respect of the world as a nation that respects and upholds the right of all peoples to freedom and self-determination and it would have been a huge triumph for the struggle of the ND people here in Nigeria. Instead, he choose to support a military Goliath and hold down the dreams and aspirations of a weak, impoverished and oppressed nation. And for what! Military backing from Israel and the US? Financial support from the US? He would never need their support if he had showed sincere leadership and concern for the people who are in the thick of the fight against BH! He would never need their support if he had given Nigerians a mere 12 hours ofelectricity daily! He would not need their support if he had taken down even a mere handful of corrupt politicians on both sides of the political divide by empowering the EFCC further rather than clipping its wings finally and giving our police force the attention and funding it so desperately needs to fulfill its role. Or if he had fought for a 50% pay cut for our legislathieves. Indeed, if he had done even one of these things, it would have guaranteed him a landslide victory in 2015, because the same people who fell for his I had no shoes humbug would still believe in him. Instead, he decides that allying with 2 nations who lay a path of death and destruction, while destroying economies and culures everywhere they go, in the name of self-preservation is the better play. Better for whom? #Shamelessness #InjusticeUponInjustice #Injustice4Power #ReligiousNonesense theguardian/world/2014/dec/31/us-israel-un-reject-palestinian-resolution-nigeria-security-council?CMP=share_btn_fb
