No Creevy Quarry Committee have devised a letter to oppose Conexpos planning application focusing on a variety of concerns in line with Northern Ireland Minerals Planning Policy. If this application is accepted and processed it sets a dangerous precedent for any rural parts of Northern Ireland. This application is going to affect the noise and vibration in a tranquil rural setting which is rich with equestrian and farming businesses. The need for a new quarry is being challenged and traffic issues have been addressed; (Conexpo are altering traffic on to a protected route which is already challenged by current traffic demands). Protected species and archaeological sites are within this proposed development and water tables will be changed which could not only cause flooding but pollution downstream into the Ravarnet River.
