GG centre Second RSPCA reply to #vanah RSPCA UPDATE Our reply to the first reply from the RSPCA: We are aware none of the horses were the RSPCA horses. So you are going to continue to rent land from who is now being perceived as a horse killer? That is shocking. This is not going to go down well with the general public who are outraged by this attack, and we are exceptionally dismayed to hear that you think it is acceptable to continue to keep any animals in the premises owned by this man. We work so hard to try to justify your actions to swing the awful bad press the RSPCA has these days, but this is not something we can ever try to explain or justify to our supporters. The RSPCA can confirm that we have removed our horses from the GG Centre. There are more than 700 horses in the RSPCAs care throughout England and Wales and these 12 horses were moved to another facility. Their welfare continues to be our priority. The horse involved in the dispute was not in the care of the RSPCA and the veterinary surgeon who examined the body at the scene stated that it was put to sleep humanely, meaning no prosecution under animal welfare legislation can be taken. The RSPCA is sympathetic to the strength of feeling surrounding this incident and does not condone what happened.
