GIFT SHOP CLERK - PART TIME Revelstoke Heritage Railway Society Salary: $12.00/Hourly Part-Time, Casual JOB LOCATION: 719 Track Street West Revelstoke, British Columbia JOB DESCRIPTION: The Revelstoke Railway Museum is looking for an individual who has: • Customer service and retail sales experience • An enthusiasm for enhancing our visitor experience • An ability to work independently • An interest in Canada’s railway history and in museums Duties include: • Collecting and processing Admission fees • Collecting and processing Gift Shop sales • Helping with gift shop display and inventory • Providing visitors with a warm and professional welcome • Providing visitors with an exceptional shopping experience • Museum reception – answering the phone • Assisting museum staff with other duties as required Skills and requirements: • Retail sales experience • Customer service oriented • Accurately operate cash register • Accurately process money and credit/debit card payments • Work with minimal supervision • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to lift, move and carry up to 20 kg • Must be available to work 3-4 days per week (4 to 8 hours a day - varies seasonally) including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
