::GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT:: Singing is NOT a gift of the Spirit as recorded in I Corinthians 12. While that and musical abilities are important, they are not a gift of the Spirit. Paul was clear in what they are, and maybe Ive missed it, but I didnt see singing in the lineup. The problem is people dont know what gift or gifts God has placed in them to equip them for the purpose for which he saved them. Because gifts of the Spirit are no longer taught, along with crowns and rewards in many circles, people are calling just about every ability a gift to accommodate and cover up their lack of understanding towards these things. Every week people entertain and are being entertained through the FLESH. You can only operate in one of two places: flesh, or Spirit. If you have NO idea what gift or gifts youre operating in, and are unconcerned about ever finding out, are you REALLY being led by and operating in the Spirit? Im not talking about just got saved and its unclear..Im talking about running for Jesus a long time saved! If youre preaching and all you have is a loud voice, and NO idea what God gave you, and arent interested in ever finding out, isnt that a problem? What exactly are you doing? Gifts of the Spirit are STILL given. The problem is many dont even know what they are, their significance, or importance. And many dont care.
