Hornes, who is also a motivational speaker and entrepreneur, recently released a book entitled “Flawesome,” in which she talks about her own personal battle with confidence, abuse, depression, and more, and the changes she had to make in her life. Hornes says that after she found her own sense of self-worth, it became her mission to influence others. She further explains “it’s never about being perfect or flawless, it’s about recognizing that despite everything that you’ve had to cope with in your life or whatever you are currently surviving, no matter who you are…you are (what she calls) Flawesome!” The conference will kick off Friday with dinner, a hands-on social change activity, and other activities focused on STEM. (science, technology, engineering, and math).
