Just take a minute to read this please.... In 2013 my Mother went for her routine scans, nothing was detected from the mammogram, but she still had a feeling that something was not right. So she pushed for more tests, an ultrasound showed a small tumour in just one of her breasts. This resulted in a biopsy to which the consultant then wanted an MRI scan to get a better diagnosis. The MRI scan revealed than she had Cancerous tissues in both breasts!!! The battle against Cancer had now begun... This AMAZING woman had a number operations which resulted in a double mastectomy. Support from friends and family is essential during this time. This is the story stripped down to the minimum, details of other health factors which affected the healing process post op, a new diet and the effect Cancer may have on an individual is incredibly difficult to put into words. When Cancer is diagnosed, the person who has it falls (like you see on the advert) but what you dont see is the domino effect of everyone else close to this person. Adapt to this change and BEAT CANCER. Even if you already have given, spare a thought to your grandparents, parents, wife, sisters, daughters, nieces, friends and even enemies. £3.... this is less than 1 glass of wine or a pint of beer, next time you are out would it really hurt to have one less drink and just text BEAT to 70099. The Cancer has gone but we are still battling against the aftermath.
