GM, Sitting here this morning reflecting on the state of the Black community. How we continuously lie to ourselves regarding acceptance in America. I respect former mayors Gulianis honesty of how most of his persuasion view Blacks in America. It takes away the illusion of inclusion. Subtle racism and liberalism in my opinion is far more detrimental to the black community. The idea, that we need to be excepted by others to feel value within ourselves has become a CANCER in our communities. Historically, Blatant racism has emboldened our resolve in the struggle. It has united us and made us rely on one another. The persecution and struggle we have faced is very parallel of that of the Jewish community minus the promised reparations. Ive observed them over the years growing up in NYC, and have grown to admire the way they operate amongst the bias and hatred. Similar to US they to have been murdered, humiliated, labeled and ostracized. The parallels are scary but we unlike them have a very short memory of OUR history. We unlike them seem to be oblivious to our economic power. We unlike them refuse to UNIFY and build one another up. They like us have professionals, blue collar workers, academic elite, and criminal elements in their communities, but they keep their economic wealth within that same community. The look to own their communities and be politically empowered. Why are they able to be successful, while we continuously stumble over ourselves? THE answer is simple, they LOVE THEMSELVES, WHILE IT SEEMS WE HATE OURSELVES. I know many will have issue on my point of view and Im open to all viewpoints but I see a formula to our success. We have to invest in ourselves. We have to love who we see in the MIRROR. We have to stop looking outside for the quality we already obtain within. Like our Hasidic brothers we have to LOVE GOD and LOVE OUR community. We CANNOT get mad with the Giulianis of the world and NOT BE DISGUSTED WITH OURSELVES. TIME FOR US TO WAKE UP AND BE ACCOUNTABLE TO ONE ANOTHER. #SelfPreservation
