GMA NEWS: JULY 9, 2013 DNA testing for Pinays with undocumented children in Saudi to last until July 14 DNA testing for Filipino mothers with undocumented children in Saudi Arabia will last only until July 14, the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said on Tuesday. The embassy reminded the concerned mothers to avail of the processing of the documentation by Saudi authorities. "The Embassy would like to reiterate that this arrangement with Saudi authorities will only last until July 14, 2013," it said in a news release. "Once again, the Embassy urges Filipino females who have undocumented children and have earlier registered with the Embassy or even those who have not registered, to proceed, as soon as possible, to the Um Al-Hammam Field Office and avail of the additional few days extension provided by the Saudi authorities," it added. It also noted it had been calling “unprocessed” mothers via their mobile phones, but the number of those appearing for processing is "dramatically decreasing by the day." The embassy pointed out the processing by the Saudi Interior Ministry followed by DNA testing is the initial step before processing at the Jawazat Wafideen (Saudi Deportation Office) and fingerprinting and issuance of final exit by the Jawazat. It also belied rumors circulating regarding the ability of new employers to facilitate the regularization of mothers, and their children. Such facilitation may not be in accordance with existing Saudi guidelines, it stressed. The embassy urged mothers in the eastern region to arrange with the Embassy for the processing and DNA testing in Riyadh. Those with further questions can call Ebrahim Zailon at 0559250419, it said. - VVP, GMA News
