GO AHEAD AND CHUCKLE... CALL ME CHICKEN LITTLE... As an American and a citizen of the free world (are we really?), I am appalled by western silence, apathy and weakness in the face of the atrocities being committed in Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan and elsewhere. Whether this butchery is perpetrated by or to Muslim, Jew or Christian, whether it is inspired by religious conviction or not, I do not care a lick. It is inhumane and evil as Nazism ever was. Certainly, as a Christian I am not anxious to respond with an eye for an eye but surely secular governments (if for no other reason than their own survival) have a moral obligation to do something. In my view, keeping on the right side of oil and economic growth by appeasing the Arab world and avoiding expanded international conflict can only mean one thing, this treachery will either be kept there or we will, one day, wake up to find it on our doorstep. Unless we take no quarter and engage the Jihadists head-on nothing will stop them. This is a fact and it is no good to play the Ostrich by sticking our collective heads in the sand. The chickens are coming home to roost. We are headed for a show-down in the middle east. As a student of biblical prophesy I am not surprised. Those of us who know scripture and the interpretations of preachers who have come before us, we see an ultimate apocalypse prophesied when all nations of the earth shall be gathered against Israel and Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone. Those without God and in the world are without hope and on a collision course with the words of Daniel, Jeremiah, Zechariah and John the Revelator.
