GO Jordan" Player of the week " Tecumseh HS Savages FB Savages come from behind twice to beat Little Axe By DANNY CHAMBERS Danny Chambers • Thu, Sep 26, 2013 Tecumseh trailed Little Axe 22-7 with 8:15 left in the third quarter when someone placed the switch in the on position. From that point the Savages were pretty much unstoppable the rest of the game en route to a 36-29 win over the Indians. Running back Jordan Brown entered the game in the second half and seemed to provide a spark for Tecumseh as he gained 113 yards after halftime. In fact, after the Savage defense forced a Little Axe punt, Brown led the Savages on another drive to the end zone. This time Brown scored a 10-yard run to give Tecumseh its first lead, not only of the game, but the season. An errant snap on the PAT forced a two-point conversion attempt which was no good, but the Savages led 28-22 with 9:12 left in the game. Brown was the leading ground gainer with 113 yards on 20 rushes, all in the second half, including touchdown runs of seven and 10 yards. Brown was seeing his first varsity action of the year at running back.
