GOAT RESCUE: We have a bit of a situation going on behind the scenes and appeal to Hope Rescue South Auckland for help! A kind hearted lady saw a 6 month old goat up for sale in the Auckland area, and after getting confirmation the seller was letting it go for meat, she stepped in and brought it!!! Now usually we would take it in, and hubby would collect it en route to work, but he is not working on Sunday. Rachel (the lady who purchased it) has made arrangements to meet this guy on Sunday at 5pm for collection (he works from 10-4) and has no experience with goats, or suitable means of transportation, and cannot hold it at her house. The young goat is currently at Clevedon, South Auckland. I believe so much in working together with other rescues.... and promised to put out an appeal to try and get this baby goat picked up in the Auckland area. Also I know Diana has experience with goats and taken them in before. Please can you help? If not, can anyone else seeing this post in the Auckland area help with a goat rescue on Sunday, and possibly give it a home, or hold for adoption? Working together I am confident there must be someone in the South Auckland area that can help with this and get this baby goat to safety. Thank you!!!!
