GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL Dear brothers, sisters in Christ and dear face book readers; I proclaim the peace, the joy and the grace of God over your life on this beautiful Sunday in the name of our Lord Jesus-Christ. I was about to write my message today in French, but however I received one encouraging message from one of my readers who express her love to the message that I am write, and I saw this as an indication from God that He wanted today’s message to be writing in English language. The last past two weeks I have spoken on the topic “God can still turn things around” and today I have been prompted by the Spirit of God to write the message on the topic “GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL” I heard many time people asking the question to know if this world is control by God or by the devil, some even proclaim that a world that is plagued by hatred, injustice, crime, murder, jealousy, sickness, diseases, poverty, xenophobia, and other evil thing cannot be under God’s control but Satan. Amiss of these questions and allegations, I came tonight to tell you that whatever you may see around you God is still in control and know clearly that your life is not out of control. Turn with me your bible in Psalms 103:19 “Psalms 103:19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” Do you understand this scripture? It tells us that God’s kingdom rules over all. I know that at time, when one faces some type of situation that can make his brain to spin, it is difficult to realise that God is still in control of the situation. Not only you who now are reading this message; for even the disciples at time did not believe that Jesus Christ the Lord of lords the King of kings, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Master of the universe the one who is and is to come, the Almighty, the one who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens; the Amen, the Faithful and true witness the one who declare: “fear not for I was dead and now I am alive for evermore, I hold in my hands the keys of death and hell” was in control of every situation concerning their life: Turn with me in the gospel of Saint Mark: 4:35-41 “Mar 4:35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, Let us cross over to the other side. Mar 4:36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. Mar 4:37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. Mar 4:38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing? Mar 4:39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mar 4:40 But He said to them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? Mar 4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him! The story above display the typical behaviour of nowadays Christians, can you see that the first thing Jesus told to is disciples was: “Let us cross over to the other side” He did not tell them that as they were going to the other side there won’t be storm and that the waves will not beat their boat, He just told them “let us cross over”. And when the storm arose, they were struck down with fear forgetting that in their boat was the one who has everything under His control. And the bible said they woke Him up with panic, and what did the Master of the universe did? He just rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still! And the wind cease and there was a great calm. Do you know that the storm was Satan’s plan to destroy the life of the disciples? However he couldn’t because he does not have the last word over any single situation on this earth, but Jesus does. I don’t know which type of storm is striking the boat of your life today, I don’t know which type of fiercest waves or challenges you are facing today, I came to tell you that the enemy does not have the last word in your life but Jesus does. Do not ever try to imagine the outcome of the unpleasant condition in which you may find yourself now by the circumstances around you, for where you are right know does not determine were you are going. You may want to take a course in any university, but now you are thinking that you do not have the means to do it, or you are old for it, please renew your mind for God is not bound to what you see or fill or even think, do not try to ever limit God for He is more than able to take you to your promise land. Paul understood this principle when while prompted by the Holy Spirit he wrote in his letter to Ephesians: “Eph 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” it may be even your marriage that is under trouble by the powers of darkness, I want you to know that God is still in control. May be the doctors told you that the sickness in your body does not have any cure, listen to me very carefully, you have a God that when everyone say it cannot be done He will say it can be done. When every one and every circumstance around you wants to show you that your expectation won’t be met He is the one who will tell you that “with me nothing is impossible”. Listen to what our lord declared in the gospel of Saint Mark: “Mar 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible. Right now it seems as the challenge you are facing right now is like a pit of fire that will lead to your destruction, listen to me dear reader if you truly believe that God is still in control of your life, you will come out of that situation victorious, and the people who wish your destruction are the ones who will be destroyed. Turn your Bible in the book of Daniel: “Dan 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Dan 3:2 And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counsellors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Dan 3:3 So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counsellors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Dan 3:4 Then a herald cried aloud: To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, Dan 3:5 that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; Dan 3:6 and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:7 So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Dan 3:8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and accused the Jews. Dan 3:9 They spoke and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live forever! Dan 3:10 You, O king, have made a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the gold image; Dan 3:11 and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:12 There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up. Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. So they brought these men before the king. Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up? Dan 3:15 Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands? Dan 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. Dan 3:17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. Dan 3:18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up. Dan 3:19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. Dan 3:20 And he commanded certain mighty men of valour who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:22 Therefore, because the kings command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. Dan 3:23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counsellors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king. Dan 3:25 Look! he answered, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Dan 3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire. Dan 3:27 And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the kings counsellors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. Dan 3:28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the kings word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God! Dan 3:29 Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this. Dan 3:30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.” Satan could imagine that he was in control over the life of the three Jewish boys, thinking that he could use king Nebuchadnezzar to destroy their life, my bible tells me that when they were thrown in the firry furnace, Jesus was right there with them, may be the fire just became air condition, we also read that the fire had no power over them, actually we could say Satan has no power over their life, meaning he did not have the last word over their life but Jesus Christ the Master of The universe and the Lord of lord did. And when we continue to read clearly this story we can see that at the end of it all they were promoted to a higher position in the Babylonian kingdom. Dear brothers and sisters, what ever the enemy may bring against your life, God will turn it to your benefit, in fact the challenges you are facing now are just stepping stones for your next level of glory as long as you can understand that God is in control over every situation on this earth. Paul one of my prefers apostles wrote: Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” as long as you are a child of God everything will turn out for your good, people will see the hand of God over your life and will glorify your Daddy. You may even ask right know what to do in order to see what ever I wrote today manifest in your life? The answer is still the same keep on believing, until you see the manifestation of your miracle; do not ever try to believe men’s report, but Jesus’. And listen to what the master of the universe will tell to a ruler who just received the news about the death of his daughter: Mar 5:35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogues house who said, Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further? Mar 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid; only believe. The same Jesus is telling you right now “Do not be afraid; only believe.” For He is your healing, provision, wisdom, justification, righteousness and what ever you need for life.
