GOD LOOKS FOR FAITHFULLNESS NOT QUALIFICATIONS ....... His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masters happiness! Matthew 25:23 (NIV) QUALIFIED, OR FAITHFUL? Are you qualified for what you are doing? Or let me put it this way, Are you qualified for what God is calling you to do? We live in a world where people are striving to be more educated, more informed, get a degree, a masters degree, a PhD..... Every where you go, the questions seems to be, what qualifications do you have? Man looks for qualifications but God is always on the lookout for faithfulness. The thing is this, you can teach any man qualifications but you cannot teach them faithfulness, which they must choose for themselves. You and I must always remember that in Gods kingdom, faithfulness comes before qualifications. He calls you not because you are qualified, but on that He can qualify you. A faithful person is a great treasure, a diamond in the rough. God chose Abraham not because he was qualified but because he was faithful. We call him the father of faith. David, amere shepherd boy was chosen to be king because of his faithfulness. What about Joseph? Was he not promoted from the prison to the palace because he was faithful? Faithful persons love people and they have a teachable spirit. God is called faithful many times in the bible andJesus is called faithful before He is called true. I am not saying that ability and qualification have no place in the things of God. No please dont get me wrong. These are of absolute importance but only when they are build on a foundation of faithfulness. Show me a man who depends on their ability and qualifications only and I will show you an arrogant person who looks down on others. Everything they do is for the sole purpose of enhancing their CV. When confronted with a problem, faithful and meek people will first examine themselves whereas a highly qualified person thinking they cannot be wrong will look for someone to blame. Are you worried today because you have no qualifications to do the very thing you feel God has called you to do, or to work in that position you know God wants you? Dont be afraid, be faithful where you are right now, wait and see God promote you and open doors to usher you where He has called you to be. This will not be because you are qualified but rather because you have been faithful Remember in Gods kingdom, faithfulness comes before qualification. Be faithful where God has placed you before he separates you to take you where he has called you to be.
