"GOD" QUESTIONED AND SUPERCHARGED ! Sohail Butt ENIGMA OF GOD. Why in the first place did He create this universe? Even before undertaking this whole adventure, where did He himself come from? Why did He choose to adopt a male gender for Himself? What was the purpose underlying in His mind to author this whole drama? If He is a God, then he must be omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, otherwise He is rendered no more a God. If He possesses all these qualities to be a God, then what is the significance of a free will? Why should not we punish God for the wrong doings of a culprit for He is omnipotent and wields complete authority over the actions of the culprit. If we punish a culprit for his or her wrong doings, then our God is deprived of His Godhood because He is rendered no more an omnipotent, the chief attribute of Godhood. If He is omniscient and omnipresent, that means that He is an author and knows all of our tragedies, past, present and our future and always is present when any such tragedy occurs, then we are rendered not more than puppets in this great tragic comedy that His whim had authored and produced. So what is the meaning and significance of our whole endeavor and why are we admonished by none other than Himself to resort to prayers to bring about desirable changes to our miserable lives?
