GOD WILL DO A NEW THING Paul Dhinakaran Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (II Corinthians 5:17) The Dhinakarans Dearly beloved, This day, God will make all things new in your life and fill you with His goodness. A political leader from another country told me that the former President of his country was once a union leader. He was doing lots of evil against many and used to murder all his enemies. Finally, he was arrested and sent to jail where he happened to get a book from a visitor. In that, he read about the incident of the Lord forgiving the thief at the last moment and opening up paradise for him. After reading that, he further read about the history of the author of that book. The author too had been imprisoned in his country as a political convict. He too had been sentenced to punishment. It was at this juncture he had heard about Lord Jesus through someone. So the author had committed his life to Lord Jesus. He is the One who delivers, forgives, removes sins and grants a new life. Within a short period, he received pardon and was set free from the jail. He then began to do the Lord’s ministry. After reading this incident, the union leader was moved, cried for his sins and committed his life to Lord Jesus. The Lord changed his life and there was a drastic change in his actions, thoughts, words and conduct. Finally, his death sentence was cancelled and he was served with a milder sentence. It was a time when the country faced election. The Lord spoke to him saying, “From now on, you have to be a blessing to the people; I am making your life new.” This man started a party right from the prison and his representatives canvassed for him. He had a landslide victory in that election and he headed straight to the President’s seat from the prison. The Scripture says, “For he comes out of prison to be king, Although he was born poor in his kingdom” (Ecclesiastes 4:14). But here, the Lord took him to the throne! When he took charge of the country, he legally changed the country into a Christian one for the very first time. Every political programme was begun only after prayer. That country began to flourish and prosper. Now he has gone to be with the Lord. So this man had come to me to get prayers for a new person who was contesting the election. Yes, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the Lord forgives his sins, gives him a new life and exalts him. Dearly beloved, are you languishing that you have lost many things in life because of your shortcomings? Today, the Lord is going to make everything new in your life. He is going to lift you up from the prison to the throne. The Bible states , “He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, That He may seat him with princes; With the princes of His people” (Psalm 113:7,8). Lord Jesus took the form of a servant and offered Himself as a sacrifice in order to lift us up. Today, when we submit ourselves to His will, His glory shall come upon us. He will give us a new heart and honour us by placing us in the highest place. The Scripture says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (II Corinthians 5:17). When you commit your heart to the Lord, He will transform your life. The former things in your life will pass away and God will do a new thing in your life. *Prayer:* Loving Lord Jesus, You took the form of a servant and offered yourself as a sacrifice in order to lift us up. I commit my heart into your hands. I submit myself to your will. Let your glory descend upon me. Grant me a new heart and bless me by lifting me up to a place of honour. Give me a new life. In Your matchless name I pray. *Amen.*
