GODSWILL AKPABIO: “Those who want to take power through the back door would die and PDP would continue” This one hmm! Did the filibuster Akpabio really make this statement? The problem with these politicians is that once they are in power they refuse to swallow the humble pie because they now believe that they are somewhat of a demi-god and are totally above board. Could someone please remind Governor Akpabio that no one person has monopoly of violence that when it starts those he believes should die may also be members of his clan and maybe families? Akwa Ibom people are warriors and when push comes to push they would not back out or back down but would fight with all the arsenals in their kitty. Trust me I know history is replete with their violence and troublesome traits I mean that not in a bad way…… but rather to draw more attention and to act as a reminder to governor Akpabio in case he has lost his memory. When you dig the ground for others to fall into be careful because when the night comes and darkness envelopes the sky you may miss the hole and fall into it yourself. He may drum the war songs and play the saxophone of violence but he should also remember that when he starts the war in earnest that people when pushed to the wall or when push comes to shove may would not stand there and watch but would fight back to defend themselves and when it happens he may not be able to control or determine how it would turn out unfortunately that is how it goes. Akpabio is not just an ordinary Governor but he is also a lawyer so he of all people should understand the implications of incitement and its dire consequences. Whatever choices he makes he should also remember that choices have consequences good or bad. He should borrow a leaf from the senile old man from the North Kaita and the Northern Oligarch that promised to make the nation ungovernable and today may I dare to say it is ungovernable indeed. Be careful what you wished for because wishes do come true. This man talks so much that the bad halitosis from his breath can be felt across the nation. Akpabio is not my favorite man because of the way he talks and boasts that type of attitude irks me a lot I believe your trumpets must be left for others to blow. Having said so you cannot take his achievements from him yes he has done well for AKS but for God’s sake he should not taint all those uncommon transformations as he likes to refer to his developments in AKS to be thrown into the gutter. He needs to appease the same people that once sang his sonorous songs of praise though those songs are now songs of woes. How time and tide can change without warning? He has been accused of murdering most of his opponents aides and so many other people though all pure allegations based on conjectures with no shreds of evidence but one so accused should not now be threatening all that cares to know with hell on earth by taking their lives if they dared him. As a governor he took an oath during his inauguration according to the Constitution of Nigeria that he would not only uphold the spirit of the Constitution but he would also protect, preserve lives and properties of the citizens of his state if he cannot do this now every other rights that he may imposed are meaningless and quite rightly not doing so is a damn right breach of the provision of that Constitution that he took an oath to uphold. What is his definition of taking power by back door? I wish someone can tell me. This definition to me is and can be subjective so if by his definition it is what I think he is trying to say does this deserve anyone dying? Where is the front door for crying out loud? And who determines where that is situated? That definition too obviously is subjective and Akpabio’s definition may be different from those that he is seeking to kill. Whatever the outcome of what these his obnoxious utterances throw at him he should be able to stand as a man and take them and stop threatening innocent citizens of a state that has done nothing but has given him so much more than he could have ever asked for. Akpabio should stop the insults and all his incendiary remarks because quite honestly it is simply rankling. Our politicians’ sha! Who can save these vagabonds? Shame.
