GOD’S PROMISE FOR YOU TODAY.... PSALM 94:19 ‘In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.’ My dearly beloved friends, many are the anxieties that may befall us humans. We are anxious about our future, our present, our past, our family, our job, our career, our life, our education, our marriage, our health and the list goes on and on. Now the world will say this is a fact of life and we have to be anxious about these things. Yes that maybe a fact but beloved we do not walk by facts and figures. We do not walk by what we see. What do we walk by? Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:7, Hebrews 11:1). Yes we may face many anxious moments but in those very moments the Lord strengthens us and delights our soul by the power of His Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 12:9, Romans 8:26, Romans 5:5). Yes the Hebrew word used for comfort means to strengthen and to encourage. Yes my friend the Lord is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3) and when we fix our eyes on Him and ask Him to take care of things, His strength and encouragement will bring joy to our souls and all anxieties will flee away. Yes beloved He has got our future in His hand and when we tell Jesus take the wheel, He in turn fills our hearts with joy and we rejoice in the full knowledge that MY GOD WILL PERFECT THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME (Psalm 138:8).
