GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Victims of canine fatalities (including all breeds) occurring on this date of January 6, between 2005-2014: Cheyenne Peppers - died 1/6/09 - age 5, female - Thomasville, GA Cheyenne was playing on a trampoline in her backyard when she was attacked and killed by the familys 3 pit bulls. One had been loose in the yard, the other two broke their chains to join the attack. Charges: None, victim killed by familys own dogs. Betty Clark - died 1/6/14 - age 75, female - Canyon Lake, TX Betty was attacked and killed by 2 pitbulls while delivering Christmas gifts in her neighborhood. Her death was not initially made public. It was not until a SECOND fatality in the same area on April 11, prompted University Hospital to subsequently release its data pertaining to Bettys cause of death on April 13. Charges: Owners charged with a second-degree felony charge of attack by dog resulting in death.
