GOOD AFTER NOON FRIENDS The Origins and importance of Om Namah Shivay Om Nama Shivay or panchakshari mantra first time appears in second part of the Second Yajur Veda ...known as the Krishna Yajur Veda. In the Krishna Yajur Veda, in the Taitariya Samhita, Maharishi Kanva established the Hymns to the Fire nature god RUDRA...and in this Rudra which has two parts known as Namakam and Chamakam, for the first itme the mantra Nama Shivay also known as the Panchakshari Mantra ..as well as the life preserving Maha Mrityuanjay Mantra appears for the first time. Bur most people are unaware of this Vedic fact that the Krishan Yajur Veda describes Lord Rudra with Bow and Arrow like Shri Rama and NOT with Trishula.....who later became famous as the Supreme Godhood of the holy trinity as Mahadeva as well as lord Shiva ShunmugamThis Trishula aspect was portrayed much later. P.S: Shri Rudra commonly known as Rudra Prashnam or A question raised by the Ancient intellectual Scientist of Bhartvarsha [India] known as the Rishis, who meditated in stillness known as Sadhna to have Anahata thoughts related to Akashik Records created By the Mind reflection impulses of the Shrishti Karta [Creator of this five fold Matrix known as Prapancha which have to be experienced through the five Human senses]. These Anahata or the Mind Generated Inner Sound thought patterns were formed in their subtle consciousness mental screen known as Maha Shukshama or The Great inner consciousness depicted by having the source of all such mind thought patterns, which was understood by them as an Mind Consciousness Energy Point known as Para Bindu related to the Cosmic Consciousness Energy [Antariksh Chetna Urja] ...which was later termed by them as the gradual process of paying one pointed attention to this most inner consciousness which they also defined as the process of Inner Listening or Shruti. They applied this advance yogic method to understand the unknowable mighty lord whom they named as Rudra, the Sanskrit word coming out of the seed word RU meaning which Vibrates or the source of all consciousness vibrations, which the ancient Egyptians also called as their Supreme God RA...and this great knowledge was passed by them to the mankind under the leadership of Maharishi Kanva by writing it , which became the Taitttireeya Samhita in the second part of the Second Veda or Yajur Veda, known as Krishna Yajur Veda This Satha Sudreeyam or Shree Rudram introduces Lord Shiva or Maha Ishvara to the Mankind as the almighty Rudra to this world for the first time upon this Bhumandla [Earth Plantary Chain having seven planets]. It has two parts which are known as Namakam and Chamakam[नमक और चमक]. Each of these two parts have 11 sections known as Anuvakyas [अनुवाक्या], and each Anuvakya has further various numbers of Shlokas known as Sooktas having requests to the almighty RUDRA. For example in the First Anuvakya of Namakam in the second sookta it states:- Sanskrit :- ॐ नमस्ते रूद्र मन्यव उतोत इश्वे नमः नमस्ते अस्तु धन्वने बहुभ्यामुत ते नमः English :- Om Namastae Rudra Manyava utota ishavae Namah. Namaste Astu Dhanvanae, bahubhyamuta tae Namah Meaning:- Salutations to you respected Rudra, and also Salutations to your Arrow. Salutations to your Bow and Salutations also to your Both Arms.
