GOOD MORNIN! Dear Facebook, it has been 1 day since my last confession. This morning I was awakened with kiss after kiss from hubby. Each more gentle and loving then the last. I am unsure this was a statement of his love to me or he was just horny but either way it was awesome! I immediately went back to sleep and awoke 2 hours later. At 8:30a the house was quiet, the sun was shining, a cool breeze was flowing from the window I left open last night and even the noisy birds outside my window seemed to be silent. It was amazing. Then the dog came in and wanted to go out. Life is great huh? :) I went to make coffee and stared at the person in the mirror. It took a minute to realize that was me. For the first time in 25 years or more, my hair was all black again. The more I looked the more I didnt like it. It made my skin appear too pale. It drew too much attention to my face. It ...hmmm. Just why were you still hiding from life? I asked the mirror. All your life you hid. The voices are faint but still there. You are too light, your hair is too curly, you are too thin, you are not pretty, you are useless... I closed my eyes. No wonder the mind is so fascinating. It takes just a few years to phuck it up and years to repair it. Well I know this. The girl in the mirror knows this. I combed my hair. I grabbed the scissors and cut a bit here and there. I made coffee. I sipped as I looked in the mirror. I spoke LOUDLY to her. Your hair is fine, you are pretty enough to have your hubby still look at you the same as he did 30 years ago, you have a great body especially considering all its been through and most importantly, do you even give a phuck what the voices are saying when most of those ppl are dead or no longer in your life. That girl cracked me up after I said that! I saw a sly grin come across her face. You know the one. That one that says PHUCK EM! without saying a word. I love that girl. She really is one of my favorite ppl. I hope you look into the mirror today and smile inside and out. There is no other like you! No matter what things you go through today, hold your head up high and give all of you. If your child walks in PAUSE the tv and listen to them. If your teen comes in, ask them what movie they want to see and GO SEE IT WITH THEM, dont just pay for them to go with their friends. If your friend comes over to visit, dont spend the entire time returning texts to your phone. Try to give all of you in everything that you do. You will love the results. Even if the other person doesnt quite appreciate it, you know you did what you could and THERE in lies the satisfaction. You gave the best you could at that time. You can not be responsible for another. Have a wonderful day my loves. Do something kind for yourself and another. SHARE the knowledge that you have. Learn one, do one, teach one
