GOOD MORNING, ALL!! Well, as all my attempts at playing April Fools pranks on my grandchildren...Guess what kids!! No school today!...yeah right gramma to informing my husband that I was pregnant...hysterical laughter...fell flat I am batting a 1000. As a child I must have been very slow on the uptake because my mother got me every year with the same joke. When youre a kid the gullibility level is right up there...except for these kids apparently. Way too smart for their own good. Searches continue in two different parts of the world. The Aussies will continue their search, in the Indian Ocean, for the Malaysian aircraft and rescuers out in Washington state continue on in their grim task of searching for and recovering the bodies of those buried in the mudslide. The battery in the black box recorder will die in another 24 hours or so which may or may not severely hamper that search, and it seems fair to say that outside of any real miracles the search in Washington has pretty much played out. Wakes and funerals are being held here this week for Lt. Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy of Engine 33 of the Boston Fire Department. Again, a noble and honorable profession that we should be so grateful for. Many tears will be shed, many other states and fire departments will be represented and we will once again witness the brotherhood of those who do so much for us, with little thought or thanks. Years ago the firefighters at the fire house we often passed , would be sitting outside playing cards. Someone remarked that that was where our money was going...paying them to sit and play cards. The response to that was, as long as they are playing cards then no ones house or business is burning. Be thankful for that! Amen! Have a tremendous Tuesday! Smile and share the love. Peace
