A potentially malicious website, http ://akoarmymil. com, is posing as the legitimate Army Knowledge Online, https://us.army.mil. The site’s purpose appears to be an attempt to lure unsuspecting users further into the site and have them enter personally identifiable information at various subpages. The links on subpages look like various software downloads and device driver updates, but are actually advertisements. Some of the link headings are not even in English, which adds additional suspicion to the site. Users are reminded to remain vigilant whenever visiting unfamiliar websites that require entering personal information or passwords. And always double check the URL before entering any type of PII.
