GOOD MORNING EVERYONE - I came across this informative article about RE: common hair products. Many of the products we use (products are mostly from the US) have a cancer-causing agent. When I read through the list I was a bit shocked to see some of the recognizable brand names. Some, in fact, are sold as medium-end products like RUSK, PAUL MITCHELL (which is sold in IL in almost every salon). This agent is not in every product for each brand, just individual products. So, if you have Paul Mitchell. Do not panic. It really depends on what you have. This is why, for some time now, I only use ORGANIC or HIGH-END hair products (Ie - Label M, or Pureology, Aveda, etc). I know many of you may think, "Ehhhhh - shampoo is shampoo." Not so true. Your high-end shampoo or styling products are a bit more pricy for a reason. The cheaper versions have chemicals in them that make manufacturing them in large quantities much cheaper. So, the next time you buy your shampoo or styling creme...Check the back label and look for the tell-tale chemical that is mentioned in this article. If it is in there, try to avoid it.
