GOOD MORNING! GREETING no. 36 I WAS MOVED BY THIS PHOTO OF DON BOSCO, SO UTTERLY EXHAUSTED BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN HIS LIFE FOR HIS BELOVED BOYS There is no doubt, dear friends, dear brothers, sisters, that each of us could share so many things in relation to our dear Don Bosco, and this charism the Lord has made us sharers in. You can imagine what intense experiences come together in my heart after these months and especially after these days as we began the Bicentenary year. In my greeting for today I would simply like to share with you THE AFFECTION THAT THIS PHOTO OF DON BOSCO PROVOKES IN ME, a Don Bosco very close to completing 70 years, and where he already looks like a worn out old man, BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN HIS LIFE FOR HIS BELOVED BOYS. He does not look sad, just at peace, LIKE SOMEONE WHO HAS GIVEN EVERYTHING HE IS AND HAS. Praying before his casket in Valdocco, I prayed holding this photo in front of me, asking him that for all of us who in some way or other wish to follow his train of thought, be part of his charism, be with him, and his efforts on behalf of the young, be part of HIS FAMILY…, he will grant us A HEART LARGE ENOUGH AND CAPABLE ENOUGH OF GIVING OURSELVES COMPLETELY, and that we be filled simply with profound peace and feel that we are FILLED TO OVERFLOWING.
