GOOD MORNING to my friends and fellow citizens of Nye County. Over the last several months, I have used my Facebook page to share my experience and qualifications with you, as well as present what I feel are the challenges and opportunities that will face the person you choose to elect as your next Nye County Clerk. Ive also participated in debates, meet & greet events, and opportunities to go out into the community and speak with you one on one. Early voting has begun, and two weeks from today, you will have your final opportunity to cast your vote in one of the most critical elections in recent Nye County history. YOUR vote COUNTS! On several occasions, I have invited my opponent to provide the voters with the information they need to make an informed decision when choosing the most qualified and capable person to fill the role of Nye County Clerk. And yet, she has consistently chosen not to do so...alt least, not in direct response to me. She had a perfect opportunity to connect with voters at the debates held at the Pahrump Nugget, yet left the event with her qualifications still a mystery. We know that she has had experience with Elections, and we also know that as important as they are, they are still a fraction of the overall job responsibilities. I feel there would be a tremendous benefit for voters if my opponent would step forward and offer full disclosure regarding her experience, just as I have done. I am posting my qualifications for you once again, and encourage my opponent to do the same. Please vote Sheila Winn for Nye County Clerk on November 4th. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Two year specialized AA degree in Paralegal Studies (graduated Valedictorian) • Eight years Paralegal / Office Manager / Client Liaison (hired as a Receptionist) • Licensed to represent injured workers as Counsel before a Hearing Officer • 10 years tenure in the Nye County Clerk’s office (Pahrump), including 7 years as Chief Deputy Clerk (hired as a Deputy Clerk/ Recorder) • Managed District Court proceedings • Clerked District Court hearings and trials • Assisted in the preparation of Self-help documents which are now accessible on the Nye County website • Launched the building and implementation of new court case management technology • Managed elections in Pahrump during early voting and on Election Day • Developed system for file tracking and management • Managed JAVS system in Courtrooms (recording system) • Developed new methods for protection of nonpublic records • Currently employed as a legal secretary for a law office practicing a wide range of client services
