GOOD. The people united and raised their voices against an anti-people plan of a national governments agency. Destroying heritage structures of historic and cultural significance is always an anti-people move; it uproots the people from his past and from his built environment, erases his memory, and prevents the future generation from experiencing and enjoying that built environment and memory. Thus, the People of Buhi and of Iriga City must join hands and move against any plan to destroy the so-called SANTIAGO BRIDGE, located at Barangay Santiago, Iriga City, which is the only bridge that directly links the town of Buhi to Iriga City and the rest of Rinconada towns. That Santiago Bridge is also a heritage structure, having been constructed in the early American colonial period; it is also single-arched, but still structurally strong and beautiful at 100 years old, more or less.
