GOODLUCK VS BUHARI PHASE ONE. Its now becoming clearer that the race is between Mr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan and General Muhammadu Buhari. We now know for fact that ; our next leader will be above 55 years old and Anyone above 55 is not a youth nor young person. We have about two / three months to go and the little I can do for Nigeria is to type a write up that might be of help to some people to vote the right candidate to power. CASE ONE : AGE Jonathan @ 57 ; Buhari @ 73 . If people claim that one Aspirant is too old , is the other one a youth ? , they are both old men. If it is age matter , both of them should be adviced to go and rest and allow a 21st century youth with bright ideas to rule ,they should rather be both advisers to the government. Dont use age to criticize A over B or vise versa because they are both old. Analyzing this two wonderful men , their age might even aid their performance based on the fact that ; an aged person in leadership should be more experienced , also , an aged person should not be scared to die for the country , afterall , they are closer to death already, therefore they can step on anyones toe for the sake of the countrys betterment. Ronald Reagan was president of USA at the age of 69 , yet he ruled for 8 years CASE TWO : POWER GREED Both Jonathan and Buhari have ruled at various top positions in Nigeria , if one of them is criticized for being selfish for not letting a fresh blood to serve, same applies to the other. People should shun off the sentiment that either is too greedy of power. Please criticize logically. SUMMARY OF THE CASES Almost all The sentiments killing Buhari is also killing Jonathan , both old , both greedy of not letting go , both recycled leaders, both ruled before , both have bad and good sides e.t.c. BEST WAY TO JUDGE WHOS BETTER Since , Both of them have already ruled Nigeria , the best way to be fair to both is by using their contributions to Nigeria to judge them before picking the right candidate. Please lets stop tackling these peoples personality and tackle their achievements. Until we judge them by their achievement during their respective leadership tenure before we are fair to both parties. Else we might all be bias. You can easily get facts about Jonathans administration because he is the current president , learn about Buharis administration from those who lived during his regieme and also read about it online. CLARIFICATION OF MAJOR SENTIMENTS ATTRIBUTED SEPARATELY TO BOTH. Some claimed Jonathan is tribalistic and he is concentrating mainly on Niger delta people , contrary to this , most in top leadership position in nigeria are northerners , in fact his vice for second term is a northerner , this disprove the claim Some claimed Buhari will Islamize nigeria. Buhari ruled less than two years , he and his vice were MUSLIMS but they did not Islamise Nigeria. They did not add Nigeria to any muslim organization but babangida did. Buharis daughter married an IGBO Christian , his personal cook and drivers for over 10 years are Christians. His running mate In 2011 was a pastor, his running mate for 2015 is a Christian, Buhari , while in service , gave Christians resting days as Sunday and did not give Muslims resting days as Friday , when Muslims protested he told them that God gave Christians resting day as Sundays in bible but ALLAH did not make Friday resting day in kuran, this shows that he also reads bible and regard Christians ,he even slashed numbers of MUSLIMS going for pilgrimage. (Thisday news , 2014 ). GENERAL SUMMARY Nigerians, wake up , criticize logically , dont fall cheaply for childish and inmatured criticism going viral.
