GOP 2016 The Establishment is floating the notion of another Romney run. I dunno... a Constitutionalist with balls, spine, and the will to win would be preferable. However, if the choice is between the Shrew (or Shrew-II: Fauxcahontas) and Romney, Ill vote Romney - with a smile. But Id really rather elect someone like Rand Paul, or Trey Gowdy. Sadly, what wins is what gets the most votes. All else being equal, what gets the most votes is name recognition, money, and a popularly attractive (or at least palatable) image. A hardcore Constitutionalist who would please both SoCons and Minarchists is unlikely to have the broad name-rec and appeal that is needed, even if he has the money. But, worse: All else is NOT equal! We have the popular media predictably partisan for the Statists; We have the Free Shit Army who will vote for whoever promises to be most like Santa Claus; And we have established and accomplished machinery for rampant vote-fraud. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE UNEASY COALITION BETWEEN SOCONS AND CONSTITUTIONALISTS CAN BEAT THAT?
