GOP wants to distance itself from Tea Party for political Reasons. Below a remark by Chairman Of Conservative Party Dear CP-USA Members & Friends: Now that the dust has settled and the votes are counted, the usual post-mortem recriminations have begun on the VA governor’s race. Conservative Ken Cuccinelli narrowly lost a squeaker to liberal Terry McAuliffe by 3 points. While many people have many theories about why that happened, it’s important to understand what really counts and what doesn’t. The real reasons Cuccinelli lost can be condensed into a simple and understandable concept: the GOP is dumb and the Libertarian Party candidate is dumber. The GOP is dumb because it failed to support their conservative candidate. McAuliffe outspent Cuccinelli 10-1 during the campaign because the GOP spent less than half of what it poured into the governor’s race four years ago. Amazingly, the GOP left Cuccinelli twisting alone in the wind like a tailless kite and dropped even that meager support by the end of September. The main reason the GOP is dumb, however, is that it abandoned a true conservative and Tea Party favorite. The RINO’s and standard-issue French Republicans actually worked to undermine Cuccinelli and is working overtime to displace the Tea Party. Example: current RINO and media darling Chris Christie refused to campaign for Cuccinelli despite the fact Christie had his own race locked up months ago. Christie is more rhino than RINO and has NO CHANCE to win the 2016 GOP Presidential Primary. New Joysey ain’t America. For sure, the abject failures of ObamaCare helped Cuccinelli close a 15 point gap. And don’t let the media tell you otherwise. But the Libertarian Party candidate is dumber. Robert Sarvis had no chance to win that race and should have never run. Sarvis did nothing but drain 7% of the conservative vote away from a true conservative like Cuccinelli. That Libertarian was even dumb enough to take money from a wealthy TX Obama bundler who was obviously trying to hurt the Republican. While the Conservative Party will get on the ballot in some states during the next few years, it will never split the conservative vote like Sarvis did. Every race is different and CP-USA will continue to endorse/support true conservative Republicans like Cuccinelli when we find them. Even when CP-USA does get on the ballot, however, we will have enough common sense to stay out of a race we know we can’t win…IF A TRUE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN HAS A CHANCE TO CARRY THE DAY. That was clearly the case in VA. The VA governor’s race was not a comment on the viability of a third party. It was a referendum on dumb strategies by the GOP and even dumber tactics by the Libertarian candidate. The Conservative Party will remain steadfast in its principles of fiscal responsibility and mission to delete ObamaCare from the body politic.
