GPS Tracking Device Led To The Arrest Of Motor Lorry Thief #sgpolicearrest Police have arrested a 41 year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft of a lorry along Tiong Bahru Road. On 27 April 2014 at about 10.10 am, the victim, a 41 year-old man reported to the Police that his lorry which he had parked along Tiong Bahru Road was missing. The victim also informed the police that his lorry was fitted with a Global Positioning System (GPS) device. With the assistance of the GPS, officers managed to track the whereabouts of the lorry and arrested the suspect. Police would like to remind vehicle owners to adopt the following crime prevention measures: a) Remove key from ignition and lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended b) Install an anti-theft alarm that is regularly checked/serviced to ensure its effectiveness c) Park in well lit areas d) Secure windows and doors of vehicle at all times
