GRACEFUL CURVES CLOTHING NEWSLETTER Hello and Welcome to another edition of our Newsletter. This is where we keep you informed of what we have planned for our great store and clothing news. So please keep reading below. In this edition..... MANUFACTURING and SWEATSHOPS – NEW TOPS and PRICING – DESIGNS – VISITING US – SHARING IS CARING. MANUFACTURING and SWEATSHOPS – There is alot of Press Coverage recently over the use of Australian Companies using Overseas Sweatshops due to a recent disaster in Bangladesh killing over 1000 people. There are many more companies who do the right thing. We at Graceful Curves are doing the right thing. We have been asked many times over who we use? and where it is made? and how can we be sure that we are not manufacturing our label in a Sweatshop? We can answer 2 of these Questions. Who we use? We will not name the factory we use as we have spent over a year finding the right factory and as we live in a very competitive world I do not want to hand them our ideas and research on a Platter for them to just jump in and start producing. So that will remain a secret. Where is it made? Our clothing is made in now 2 countries, one being Thailand, the other being China, it depends on what we are making. How can we be sure that we are not manufacturing our label in a Sweatshop? With researching for companies to make our label we first look at whether they can do our designs, then pricing of our designs, then ability to produce our designs in a timely fashion. Once a Manufacturer has ticked our boxes we can through an independent inspection company order a compliance visit by a company that audits the use of labour and conditions at the factory. There is a cost, but we do get pictures/videos and reports of what they find. They either recommend them or in many cases do not. We then decide from there. We are very conscious of the conditions in which the workers work and we do believe what we do is right. As Graceful Curves Grow we will attend the factories to see for ourselves. NEW TOPS and PRICING – We have shown you some pictures of our samples last week, they are in Purple. There are 2 styles available and will be in Black and Purple only. We will be doing these at a special price, but wait there is more! Last Sunday we asked you on your thoughts for 2 more tops which had a great response, so we have these samples being made up as I type. These will be in 4 colours, Black, Purple and whatever two gets the most requested on our Colour Chart (which was also posted last week). Anyways, depending on how well the Special Price is taken up, we will do the next Designs at a great price also, so please stay tuned! DESIGNS – With the four new tops in Production and Sampling, we will soon be looking forward to the next designs in our range, we will post our ideas soon. We really do appreciate the time most of you have given us with input into our designs, every comment really does help. Another question we received is “Are these pictures you show actually your designs?” The answer is No, we draw up our designs and then find close likenesses of the designs that we designed. The idea behind that is so that you will get a better idea of what we are trying to make up. That is also why you may see ‘skinny’ models from time to time in the pictures we use. Everytime we put these Pictures up we ask that you use your imagination and imagine you wearing it because once they are made we want you to wear it. So a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who comments! We are still not quite set up for a full shop yet, but we have had a few people visit us already and have enjoyed meeting them. This will be by Appointment only as we do travel around a fair bit. So please message us or call us to arrange a time if you want to. Or if you like what you see online and want to pick up your goods without having to pay postage just go through ordering and select Bank Deposit then write ‘Pickup’ in the comments. If doing so it is Cash only as we have no card reading facilities here.
