GRATITUDE - Oh Im so lucky. Well I was lucky enough (Yeah I am generally a glass is half full - in fact Im lucky enough to have both a glass and something to put in it guy) to spend a few hours today at Auckland Hospital A & E supporting somebody I care about. I was able to sit back and witness some truly amazing people. From the fantastic Security guys who let me park right at the doors,( I needed wheel chair access and it was pissing down raining.) The lovely friendly front desk admission staff, the amazing nursing staff. The Doctors who were so great to deal with. I was asked so many times was I OK? Would I like a coffee or something to eat. -Yeah I was looking dishevelled a few days growth, bags under my eyes, these staff knew I was a carer and not a patient but they really cared. These people witness some pretty troubling scenes everyday and still they smile. I later got to chatting- (as I do) - with a couple of the Security Guards who were looking after a prisoner. Basically about running away to join the Circus and Not my Circus not my Monkeys came up. One for my new friends stated that perhaps I am really living in my circus - I get to do some pretty crazy shit and I love it. So as I think that I already live there. I just want you all to know that now Id be very open to some freelance work as a Pirate - preferably somewhere warm - Yeah I dont want to grow up.
