GROOMING ADVICE CANINE AFTERCARE BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS Brush/comb - TopicsExpress

GROOMING ADVICE CANINE AFTERCARE BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS Brush/comb daily using a good quality slicker brush/stainless steel comb. Use Fragrance Free Baby Wipes each morning around the eye area to remove sleep residue. Get your pet used to feet and legs being touched when he/she is in a relaxed state (whilst having a cuddle is an ideal time). Should a matt be found between grooming, please contact us and we will be happy to take this out free of charge. If you have any questions, please ask, our concern is for the welfare of your dog and professional advice for you, the owner. If you bath your dog between grooms, please only use a quality dog shampoo or baby shampoo (fragrance free). Be careful to ensure no water goes up the nasal cavities (this can drown a dog!) and hold the head in a downwards position covering above the nose with your thumb. Do not use a standard hairdryer, as even on its lowest setting, the heat is too hot for your dog’s skin. Grooming your dog on a regular basis will create a special bond between the two of you and your dog will see it as a pleasurable experience.
