The SriLankan team is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join us as: GROUP LEGAL AFFAIRS EXECUTIVE This is an excellent career opportunity for a legal professional to join our legal team in a world-class organization. Reporting to Group Legal Affairs Manager, the job includes: Reviewing/drafting contracts assigned by the Manager Group Legal Affairs with the objective of protecting the best interests of the Company from a legal and liability perspective. Obtaining, collating and analyzing information pertaining to claims, demands made by the Company and/or against the Company in Sri Lanka and overseas and recommending course of action best suited in the interests of the Company to the Manager Group Legal Affairs. Obtaining, collating information pertaining to cases filed by or against the Company in Sri Lanka and overseas and preparing legal brief for external counsel, arranging, coordinating and attending consultations, attending courts, maintaining records and following up until the conclusion of the case. Preparing pleadings to be filed by the Company and pleadings filed by opponents in litigation and alternate dis-pute resolution processes and comply with procedural requirements and deadlines applicable for litigation and in general, monitoring and following up on litigation/arbitration/other processes of dispute settlement. The ideal candidate should possess: LL.B from a recognized University with 2 years’ work experience in a relevant discipline. OR An Attorney-at-Law with 2 years’ experience in a relevant discipline. Being a Notary Public having license to practice in English in either Colombo or Negombo Judicial Zone would be an added advantage. The upper age limit is 35 years as at 19th July 2013.
