GROW YOUR OWN CLOTHES SUZANNE LEE, a researcher at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design is using a technique to grow vegetable leather in a laboratory. The BIOCOUTURE research project has discovered a method to grow material from a bacteria produced from fermented green tea. Once grow, the material can be harvested, dried and used to make clothes. It can be moulded, cut or sewn, and can even be coloured or printed on using conventional clothing dye.
