GROWING FOR THIS WINTER - Winter brings colder weather, longer days, warm coats, and locally grown winter tomatoes. Yes, you read that right; tomatoes are growing at the Gray’s Farm this winter. This fall farmer Steve Gray has been planting high tunnels with tomatoes. With the cooperation of Mother Nature and some good old-fashion luck, Steve hopes to bring his tomatoes to market this winter. “Availability and quantity will be determined by the type of winter we have and the conditions impacted on the high tunnels” Farmer Steve tells us. Steve hopes we can all have a local Delmarva BLT on an upcoming cold and snowy January day.
