GSAREH traveled to Davos, Switzerland to attend the Global Risk Forum. GSAREH’s president, Dr. Tarek Rashed, delivered an engaging talk on our innovative Integrated Flood Risk Management Solution (iFRMs). GSAREH’s Vice President of Operations, Kaitlin Pinkerton, and Program Coordinator, Abby O’Connor, presented a poster on GSAREH’s Geospatial Technology Capacity Building (GTCB), focusing on how those working in Disaster Risk Reduction can learn to better leverage geospatial information to mitigate health risks before, during, and after a disaster. Both programs received interest from a wide array of conference goers. Friendly Davos locals advised we return for a vacation in the winter during ski season… The city must look gorgeous covered in a layer of snow!
