GULBARGA CITY CORPORATION - MESS!!!! 2014 Due to the ‘GARBAGE EVERYWHERE’ in Gulbarga City, the Stray Dogs have increased and pose a serious danger to the playing kids outside their homes, there are several instances in which the small kids have fallen prey to the dog bites, often children’s become the target of stray dog bite. Many dog bite cases have reported at the Government General District Hospital in Gulbarga City. The stray dog bite-victims parents have accused to the City Corporation officials of not initiating any steps to curb the menace of stray dogs. - Sharan Desai I state that it is submitted that regarding stray dogs the Corporation has taken effective measures and that 7, 418 dogs have been subjected for Animal Birth Control (ABC) operation since 2010 which is monitored by the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, Gulbarga and the said neutered dogs have been left where they were lifted for operation. The Corporation has resolved on 10-02-2012 to issue compensation of Rs 10,000 to the victims of such dog bites. It is submitted that the respondent Corporation has awarded compensation of Rs 10,000/- to each of the 29 victims in the year 2012. The respondent Corporation has released a fund of Rs 5, 00, 000.00/- in the year 2012 - 13 and Rs 4, 00,000.00/- in the year 2013 - 14 to the Government Hospital for the procurement of anti-rabies/vaccinations. In so far as Pigs, Cows and Buffalos are concerned, a strict warning has been given to the owners of these animals not to leave them free on roads as they cause nuisance to the public. The Corporation has filed complaints against owner of such animals and action being taken against the violators as per law and they have been penalized by the Magistrate Court. The Corporation has notified the owners to remove their cattle and pigs from the streets by publishing a notice in the daily news paper; as well as personal notices to individual owners . - The Commissioner of Corporation Gulbarga City, Shri SRIKAANTH B KATTIMANI.
