GURGAON POLICE ADVISORY FOR 31.12.2014 ISSUED BY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, GURGAON (30-12-2014) Gurgaon Police issues this advisory in public interest and to maintain public peace and order in Gurgaon district on the eve of New Year celebrations. 1)FOR CITIZENS: a)Traffic Restrictions: i)There would be traffic restrictions on and around the “Mall Mile”. Know the restrictions and obey them. ii)The stretch of Mehrauli Gurgaon Road (MG Road) between Bristol Chowk to IFFCO Chowk will be a “NO DRIVE ZONE” from 5pm on 31.12.2014 till 2am on 01.01.2015. Traffic would be diverted at both ends of the No Drive Zone. iii)Special entry stickers would be given to residents of the area. The distribution of these resident entry stickers is being coordinated by Sector 29 Police Station through the respective RWA’s. iv)PARKING: People coming to celebrate in places on MG road and adjoining areas can park their vehicles as follows: (1)Coming from Gurgaon Side: Leisure Valley Ground Parking (2)Coming from Delhi Side: Some parking spaces are available near the Metro Station, however when they fill up the traffic will have to come towards Leisure Valley Ground Parking v)PARK N RIDE : Buses would be arranged at Leisure Valley ground to take them to various places. However it has been observed in the previous years that the distance is not much and people prefer to walk to the destinations of their choice. b)Do not drink and drive: There would be more than 50 traffic police check points across the city to check traffic violations especially, cases of drunken driving. In cases of serious violation of law, you may be arrested and sent to jail. c)Information to Police: Citizens are the eyes and ears of police. Inform about any crime incident, mobs collecting or rioting or anything suspicious that you see to the Police Control Room by dialing 100. d)Help us in maintaining Public Peace & Order in the City: Cooperation from citizens is required to help maintain public peace and order in the city. They are requested not to indulge in drunken brawls and street fights. 2)FOR WOMEN: a)Call 100 or 1091 in case you feel any need to call the police. b)In case you need to take a cab/taxi alone, first click a photo of the cab/taxi driver and cab registration number with your cell phone and email to [email protected] as record with your name, mobile number and the place from where you took a cab and your destination. This information will not be shared with any person, and will work as a deterrent to prevent any untoward incident. 3)FOR RESTAURANT / BAR OWNERS: a)Obey the laws: i)No Service of Liquor after allowed time: You are aware of the last time by which you are allowed to sell/serve liquor in your premises under the Excise laws. Do not violate the law. Special Joint Teams of Revenue, Excise and Police Officials, quipped with videographers, have been formed to check all such violations and take the strictest possible action. ii)No service of Liquor to underage persons: Do not serve liquor to people who are underage as per Excise laws. Legal action will be taken in case any such incident is noticed. Check the ID b)In case you hire security personnel, do not hire bouncers, hire trained security personnel from licensed private security agencies. c)Provide good resolution CCTV Camera Coverage both inside and outside your premises to record any incident/crime for proper investigation later. d)Frisk people entering your restaurant to avoid any chance of someone placing a bomb etc. 4)FOR MALL MANAGEMENT/CYBER HUB MANAGEMENT: a)Have property security checking and frisking of people and vehicles entering into your mall areas. b)In case of any untoward incident, by someone able to smuggle in any item that can be used as a weapon, bomb or item to cause damage to life and property, the responsibility of negligence on part of the Mall Management/Chief Security Officer will be fixed. c)Deploy sufficient and trained security guards hired from licensed private security agencies especially for New Year eve functions. d)Check the ID card of each individual who enters the premises. e)Ensure proper CCTV Coverage of the premises so that the camera can capture any untoward incident. f)Ensure proper CCTV Coverage at the entrance so that the face of every individual entering the premises can be clearly captured.
