Gadsden Police report that there were six vehicle break-ins between Friday night and Saturday morning at public housing on North Sixth Street and North Sixth Place. Five of the vehicles had the windows broken out, while the sixth had been left unlocked. In all the burglaries, valuables such as wallets and purses, along with their contents, were the only things stolen. The police warns that burglars won’t hesitate to break out the windows, though, as long as they see something they can grab quickly before anyone can react to the noise of a broken window or a car alarm. That was likely the case for the weekend crimes.
