Galatea Papageorgiou: I spent some time on Sunday trying to determine where we will go to do photography in Hamilton for trains. I have kept in mind that, since you will be carrying the equipment, you will need inconvenient rest breaks. However, I think we can get around that by using same said breaks for beer consumption time. So I am not too worried that you will need to stop every now and then. Since our ultimate targets are trains in the snow in the dark, and since it will be cold, I have decided that we need to stay close to home. The perfect spots seem to be on the CP tracks between Bayview Junction and Waterdown. There is some degree of shelter in the form of bridges but also good vistas. Vitally since these tracks are on a grade, we should be able to hear the trains coming from some distance. I would imagine we need to set up camp for at least three hours so prepare yourself for sitting still in plummeting temperatures. We could start a fire I suppose. So basically get ready.
