Galatians 5:1, 13 “So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” I love what the Word of God tells me about myself in this passage. It says, “I am free.” See the truth is, it doesn’t say, “I will be free.” It doesn’t say, “Hopefully, one day, in the future, I will be free.” Jesus sets us free now, today. It’s a reality. Friends, you have to believe that you ARE free now – it’s not something that’s going to happen in the future, it’s now. It may not have manifested yet, but you have to believe. You have to walk like it, talk like it, and expect it. You’re free! If you’re a born again child of God, washed in the blood and filled with his Spirit, then you are free. That’s why he came. That’s why he died. That’s why he rose again – to liberate you and free you.
