Game day at Bolton Rufc - its a new dawn, its a new day, its a new life for me at level 6. Ok you get the picture.... Kick off 3pm at avenue street vs Broughton park. What pride I have in saying the our club name in the same fixture as one of the more illustrious names in NW rugby history. Pride - an interesting word. People talk about the Pride of British Lions who have just this summer defeated austrailia on their own turf. Its true a pride is the collective term for a group of lions and their family however the pride of the lions runs much deeper - as does my pride at leading our club into battle for the 2014/2015 season. I am proud of every player to cross the whitewash, Im proud of every captain who leads his team, I am proud of every volunteer who lifts a finger to keep our club running, Im proud of every kid who pulls on the cherry and white of bolton and every parent who gives their time up to provide the opportunity for their child to be part of the great sport of rugby. Most of all I am proud of OUR club, built on friendships past, present and future with hard graft, love and effort. So when you sit on the bench under your shirt in the changing room today please take a few seconds to say thank you to everyone who has helped you in getting you to where you are, take a minute to reflect on what you have achieved but more importantly what you can achieve in the future, starting with a victory today.
