Gani VDC owed over P17 000 in rentals Government employees owe #Gani Village Development Committee in the Okavango sub district over 17 thousand Pula in rent arrears. The VDC chairman Lekgowa Monowe told Gabz FM news in Gani over the weekend that the debt has accumulated over the years. He said the employees fail to pay even though rent is charged at only 100 Pula per house. Monowe said some of the employees have never paid anything to the #VDC since they occupied the houses more than three years ago, and appeared not willing to pay even though they signed occupancy agreement forms with the VDC which bound them to meet their part of the agreement. Monowe noted that as a small VDC with only one source of income, they have failed to execute some projects in the village because of lack of funds, adding that the money owed could have gone a long way in developing the village.
