Ganta Update: team blogday 13 Jan 30 Leaving Ganta Many of our new friends came by the guest house as we loaded the van and prepared to leave. Our little chimpanzee friend had a close brush with death a few days earlier and is now doing much better, so we decided to go visit him. We were all relieved to see him doing well. Cindy bonded quite well with him and we have some wonderful photos of him sleeping contentedly in her arms.After a few delays we were on our way out of Ganta. We took Nora, the Director of Nursing, with us in order to give her a ride to Monrovia where she will be renewing the nursing licenses for several of the nurses at Ganta. It was a another long and very rough ride back to Monrovia, however Easy got us here in just over 5 hours , which was substantially faster than our trip to Ganta. Early in the trip Linda began singing The Wheels On The Bus. There is some conjencture that the high incidence of slight motion sickness may have begun with this.Back at the guest house in Monrovia we are happy to have electricity and running water. This means Fans, ( more than just the Filos we had in Ganta) an ocean breeze, and a shower kind of.Dinner at a place called Saj ( same place as our arrival night in Liberia). Devotions tonight centered on the Beatitudes and naming the people who we met that these scriptures bring to mind.Tonight we sleep with the sound of the ocean.. .End day 13 God is good.All the time.
