Garys book , Ghost towns yesterday and today is a great book. It even covers areas in the southeastern U.S. where I grew up. Those farm towns that were busy little places back then have dried up and died on the vine since the machines replaced the many sharecroppers that used to farm the land. My family was some of those folks who left the land beginning in the 1940s until the 1960s. Today many sit lonely and barren without the sound of happy families on a Saturday afternoon, a victim of the times. There are so many to cover them all would take another book, but the best ones are covered in his book. I see on Betterworld books several used copies from $6.00 and some new ones for $20.00 with no shipping charge. All are hard cover. I highly recommend the book. It is essential for ghost town and lovers of Americana. Thanks much Gary for doing such a great job on the book.
